Cheesy Burger Bombs Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef, seasoned
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 pack of Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
  • 1 can diced tomatoes w/green bell peppers
  • 1 jar medium queso
  • 6-8 slices swiss cheese
  • shredded cheddar cheese
  • sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Dice onion and brown with 1 pound of ground beef over medium heat. Season to taste. (I typically use about 1/4-1/2 teaspoon of each of the following: onion salt, garlic salt, seasoning salt, and pepper.)
  3. While the meat is cooking, spray a 12×18 sheet pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  4. Place the entire pack of Hawaiian Sweet Rolls on the pan. Slice in half and remove the top half of the buns. Set aside for later.
  5. Add diced tomatoes and queso to the meat mixture. Stir until well combined.
  6. Spoon the meat mixture evenly onto the bottom half of the Hawaiian Sweet Rolls.
  7. Top with sliced Swiss cheese.
  8. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the Swiss cheese.
  9. Replace the top half of the Hawaiian Sweet Roll Buns.
  10. Melt butter and brush over the top of the buns.
  11. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  12. Bake for about 20 minutes.
  13. Slice and serve immediately.
  14. Enjoy!
